Skin, Leather & Parchment Set - Velvet Ink

The Kimera Kolors Velvet Inks Skin, Leather & Parchment Set contains six highly concentrated, semi-transparent acrylic inks built around warm browns, earthy reds and natural tones. Their intense pigmentation, smooth flow and satin finish make them ideal for everything from colour mixing and shading to glazing, filtering and airbrushing. Each 15 ml bottle can be extensively diluted while maintaining strong colour intensity, providing the equivalent of more than 60 ml of standard ink.

Add depth to skin, leather and natural materials
This set brings together versatile earthy tones for enriching skintones and creating convincing leather, parchment, cloth and other natural materials. Use Smoke and Sepia to introduce subtle shadows and definition, the warmer browns and reds to build richness and variation, or Papyrus for lighter natural tones. The semi-transparent character of the inks makes it easy to introduce subtle colour variation without completely covering the work underneath.

From washes and glazes to the airbrush
Velvet Inks adapt easily to different techniques and levels of dilution. Thin them heavily for washes, filters and transparent glazes, apply them over preshaded surfaces for techniques such as Slapchop, or use stronger concentrations for lining, shading and intense colour accents. They can also be thinned with water or acrylic thinner for airbrushing gradients, filters and controlled shadows.
