Micro Set & Sol Bundle
The Microscale Micro Set & Sol Bundle combines two complementary decal solutions for applying waterslide decals to miniatures, scale models, and other painted surfaces. Micro Set improves adhesion and helps position decals, while Micro Sol softens the decal film to conform to curves, recessed details, and irregular surfaces. Used together, they help achieve a smooth, natural finish with minimal visible edges, making decals look as though they were painted directly onto the model.
Two Solutions for a Professional Finish
Each solution plays a different role in the decal application process:
Micro Set – Decal Setting Solution: Prepares the surface, improves decal adhesion, and gently softens the carrier film to help prevent trapped air bubbles and visible edges.
Micro Sol – Decal Softening Solution: Provides stronger softening action, allowing decals to conform closely to complex shapes, raised details, and recessed areas.
Together, they make it easier to apply markings, insignia, and decorative details to everything from smooth armour panels to curved and intricately detailed miniature surfaces.
How to Use
- Prepare the surface: Make sure the area is clean and free of dust or particles.
- Apply Micro Set: Brush a thin layer onto the area where the decal will be placed.
- Position the decal: Slide the prepared waterslide decal onto the treated surface, carefully position it, and gently blot away excess liquid.
- Apply Micro Sol: Once the decal has settled and no longer moves easily, gently apply Micro Sol using a soft brush and as few strokes as possible.
- Leave it undisturbed: Allow the decal to soften, conform to the surface, and dry completely. Repeat the Micro Sol treatment if necessary.
