Brush Cleaner - 75ml

Winsor & Newton Brush Cleaner is a deep-cleaning solution designed to remove stubborn and dried acrylic, oil and alkyd paint from natural-hair and synthetic brushes. Ideal for brushes that can no longer be properly cleaned with water and brush soap alone, it helps remove accumulated paint from between the bristles and can give a well-used brush a new lease of life.

Deep cleaning for your brushes
Even with regular cleaning, small amounts of paint can gradually build up between the bristles and towards the ferrule. With miniature painting in particular, dried acrylic can cause a brush to become stiff, lose its point or begin to splay. Brush Cleaner helps dissolve these stubborn paint residues so they can be removed without damaging the brush head.

For dried acrylic, oil and alkyd paint
Unlike regular brush soap, Brush Cleaner can tackle paint that has already dried in the bristles. It can be used with both natural-hair and synthetic brushes, making it particularly useful as an occasional deep cleaner or as a rescue treatment for brushes that have become difficult to clean through normal maintenance.

Application
Use Brush Cleaner when normal cleaning with water or brush soap is no longer sufficient. For heavily dried paint, the brush head can be left to soak in the cleaner overnight before carefully working out the loosened paint. Rinse thoroughly with water afterwards, reshape the brush to its natural point and allow it to dry completely.

Important information
Avoid contact with painted or varnished brush handles and keep the cleaner away from polycarbonate and other plastic surfaces. When soaking a brush, immerse only the brush head and bristles rather than the handle.
