OHBIG Magnifying Glass with LED Lighting
The MadWorks × Hwatang OHBIG LED Magnifying Glass (2.3×) is a laboratory-grade magnifier designed for hobbyists and professionals who rely on absolute visual precision. This 2.3× version is especially well suited for miniature painting, figures, and scale models, offering an ideal balance between magnification, field of view, and working distance.
At its core is a ⌀100 mm K9 optical white glass biconvex lens, delivering excellent light transmission and sharp, distortion-free magnification with true-to-life colors. The integrated LED ring light uses a 24 + 24 SMD LED module with diffuser to provide even, low-glare illumination—perfect for working on reflective surfaces like metal, resin, or painted miniatures. With a CRI (Ra) above 90, colors appear natural and accurate, just like under professional studio or laboratory lighting.
The OHBIG offers four color temperature modes (3000K, 4000K, 5900K, and 6500K) and multiple brightness levels, allowing you to adapt the light to your workspace and task. Power can be supplied via AA batteries (not included) or continuously via USB-C, with an automatic 30-minute shutoff in battery mode to conserve power. A standard 1/4″ screw mount on the handle makes it compatible with tripods, mounts, or the optional gooseneck table clamp for hands-free use.
